A business strategy that doesn't die in a drawer.

Strategic planning and execution for owner-operated companies in Langley, the Fraser Valley, and Metro Vancouver. A real plan, with the structure to actually carry it out.

If this sounds familiar

You set the goals with energy in January. By March they're a distant memory.

Most strategic plans fail the same way. You spend an energized day writing down goals, then head back to the daily grind. There's no written plan with real context, no one else bought in, and nothing holding anyone accountable. The list ends up in a drawer somewhere.

A strategy is only worth something if it changes what happens on a Tuesday. The plan is the easy part. The hard part, the part most owners never get help with, is turning it into how the business actually runs.

How the work goes

From a clear look at today to a plan your team executes.

No binders that gather dust. We build the strategy together and put the structure in place to carry it out.

Make it stick

I run it with your team, then hand it over, so the strategy keeps moving without me in the room.

James Robertson, Principal Consultant
Why me

I've built the plans and executed them.

For ten years I owned and ran a company through rapid growth, a pandemic, serious financial trouble, and a hard-won turnaround to a successful exit. I've written the strategy and then lived with the consequences of executing it, which is a different thing entirely from drawing it on a whiteboard.

That's what I bring. Not a framework I invented and put my name on, but what actually works, learned from people far smarter than me and tested in my own business through the worst of it, made to fit yours.

Common questions

Business strategy, answered plainly.

What does a business strategy consultant actually do?

I help you set a clear direction for the business and, just as importantly, build the structure to carry it out. A plan is only worth anything if it changes what happens week to week, so I stay involved through the execution, not just the planning.

Do you just write a plan and leave?

No. The plan is the easy part. I work with you and your team to turn it into priorities, a meeting rhythm, and accountability, and I stay hands-on until your team owns it.

Is this a rigid system or framework?

No. The approach is built around your business and where it actually stands, not a one-size-fits-all program with my name on it. I bring what works and make it fit you.

Do you work remotely or in person?

Both. Planning work is often best in person around Langley, the Fraser Valley, and Metro Vancouver, with ongoing sessions over Microsoft Teams, and I work remotely across British Columbia.
